Attorney Thornton is a native to New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Delaware, with B.A. in Political Science in 1991. Shortly after graduating, a job opportunity led him to the North Shore of Massachusetts.
After working for several years as a paralegal, then as an independent title abstractor, Chris's passion for learning led him to law school. He worked full-time while pursuing his law degree at Massachusetts School of Law graduating Cum Laude in 1999. In 2000 he was admitted into the Massachusetts Bar.
Attorney Thornton has run successful law offices in Beverly, Salem and finally settling in Rowley where he and his wife are raising their three daughters. He is committed to his community, is a member of the Rotary and has sponsored local community events including the Annual Fall Fest and Rowley Road Race. In his free time he enjoys traveling, skiing, fishing and coaching basketball.
Chris is currently the Chairman of the Rowley Planning Board, where he has served as an elected member since 2014.
